But every mondy to friday morning hours, i get this 49.FF04 error.When i plug out the network cable, and restart it gets ok. Any ideas? Most HP laser printers (Canon engines) have a built in test feature, a microswitch on the DC controller or ECU (enginecontrol unit) which will print standalone without theformatterinstalled. We tried the firmware update but that didn't work. If the jamming is less frequent now, maybe new roller(s) will correct the problem. Usually a small access hole in the cover where the DC controller or ECU reside will give you access to this test.
Sometimes if lucky you can hit the cancel button when the printer comes out of initialization and can cancel the job causing the issue. There are 2 or 3 ways to send a firmware upgrade, via parallel port, USB port, or network port/FTP. http://permamatrix.net/hp-printer/hp-printer-error-100-vsa.html a duplexer, or envelope feeder, or an additional tray, then you would get a different error, but one which wasn't there before you tried the additional component. I hope someone can help or we can help each other with a solution. Unfortunately I do not have extensive knowledge of servers.

The error could be caused by third-party memory, improperly installed or third-party EIO devices or a specific print job and/or software application.
This points toward a common sub function or sub procedure failing. It's not a driver. If the49error occurs with any EIO device installed, replace that EIO device. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the print job from the printer memory.2.
