Hp Officejet D135 Carriage Error
After reading here, I did some cleaning with about 10 dry q-tips. I need to know if there's any hope here or if I should just try to get my money back.. I really needed that $350.00. It is made of thin plastic approximately 1/4" (6.35 mm) wide and threads through an optical sensor on the backside of the carriage. have a peek here

The printer prints the test page. And you would not believe what I found!!! It happens even when the printer has been idle for a long time & it is not being asked to perform any functions.
Solution two: Clear any paper jam Jammed paper can cause the carriage to stall. I'm sorry that I can't be more help. PatriciaIt's been great up until now. Problems are gone, no more erroneous messages and it prints great again!

The orange shipping lock might ... I tried a partial reset (6 and #) & it still happens fairly often. LET DRY BEFORE REINSTALLING!!! 16) Clean the inside of the printer with a soft dry cloth, use a slightly damp, with bottled water, lint free cloth (Glasses cleaning cloth works well)
See the steps on how to print a self-test report at the top of this document. I cleaned the printhead contacts and I can get one page to print in color and then the error message "Bad Printhead, replace cyan print head"So there is my story, so Thoroughly rinsed & cleaned til water ran clear & left out to dry.I then used highly absorbent puppy housebreaking pads & long qtip cotton swabs w/water to clean as much excess Figure : Remove the rear access door Gently pull the paper out of the rollers.
Remove the battery. If the carriage is stuck on the left side of the product, move the carriage to the right side of the product. I used a combination of alcohol swabs (to wipe) and windex solution (to soak) the parts. If the issue persists, continue with the next solution.
