The best way to most accurately meter the toner is to use inductive resistance. If it sees zero page count, then it checks the ac bias through the 2 contacts. Check the high voltage contact (large spring wire) and corresponding post on the cartridge to ensure they will make good contact with each other. Just a theory. The wire needs to be brought up and hooked into the little black slot, and then it will slide down in place.
