Then tried to move the carousel to a new position, basically one more notch, and it worked. And it must have been the brake because the tonor cartridge moved when I pushed on it. Once in fifty powers on of printer start without error.
I tried switching off/on as well as unplugging it but now I am getting a 54.2 error as well as the grinding noise you get with carousel problems.

Once you have all the print cartridges removed you will need to turn the printer on.8.
